What Radiator Valves do I need, and which ones are the best?

Radiator valves are often overlooked when choosing the right radiator for the right style or area. It is always disappointing when we receive a huge order of raw metal radiators but the customer does not have the right valves. The plumber will often get the valves. It's great if the plumber is getting them, but it can be a problem if he comes up with a basic radiator-fitting valve that will not fit your designer radiator.

There is also the possibility of communication issues between homeowner and plumber, and an "I thought that they came with it" response from one or both. Don't leave it up to chance. Take a look at our packages with radiator valves. These deals not only save you money but also allow you to install the rads yourself. All you need is water.

Which valves work best with which radiators?

Square Angled Radiator Valves (Pair) - Chrome Finish

We have noticed trends and patterns when we sell rads in such large volumes.

Standard radiators will fit standard valves. Depending on your budget, these can range from PS2 odd to PS10. These will allow you to use a thermostatic and rad valve for one end. They are usually white and not too noticeable. You will need to control the convector or panel radiators.

Towel rails require a different valve setup. The tapping is usually at the bottom. If your pipes come from the floor, a straight valve is required. You can have thermostatic or manual control, as with all valves. You have the option of using one of our corner valves, such as the EV-HP15C if you're fitting a towel rail that has pipes coming from the wall.

Column radiators offer the most flexibility in terms of valve options. We offer a variety of valves to match not only the available colours but also styles, periods, and any surrounding fixtures and fittings. The Bentley valve range includes traditional and Gothic styles in black nickel, antique brass, and bronze. The choice is up to you. It can be a slow process but the results are worth it. It is the little things that really make a difference. These are just a few suggestions that we have made based on past experiences. However, each person's ideas and goals are their own.
